Island Mountain Arts Summer School Schedule is knocking my socks off!  Their normally excellent summer school of the arts typically includes some of the best arts instructors from across Canada.  However, the music is what grabs me and the 28th marks the beginning of two particular courses.  Fingerstyle Guitar, by Tim Williams.

July 28 Music Tim Williams plays a concert with Songwriter and fellow IMA instructor Ken Whiteley .  Both of these guys are roots and blues legends with decades of experience between them....This will be a rare chance to see these two play together in a fabulous concert that leads up to the Artswells Festival.

July 29 Music Linda McRae Canadian entertainer Linda McRae may be one of the Queens of traditional and folk music.  From a musical career that ran from Spirit of the West, and the Flying Jennys, through solo productions by Colin Linden, Linda is now a virtuoso on the clawhammer banjo, with a sweet voice to magnetize you to the performance.  Here more recent works attracted the Hank Williams Museum to ask her to perform.  She has become a performance icon at the Bears Paw and we're proud that she's asked us to bring her back before the opening of ArtsWells.
